At ResumeATS, we take your privacy seriously. This page explains how we handle your data and what information we collect (spoiler: almost none).

Data Processing

When you upload a resume to ResumeATS:

• The file stays on your device
• All analysis happens in your browser using JavaScript
• No resume content is sent to any server
• No resume content is stored in any database
• Your data never leaves your control

What We Collect

We collect minimal, anonymized analytics data to understand how visitors use our site:

• Page views and navigation patterns (via Ahrefs Web Analytics)
• Basic device information (browser type, screen size)
• Geographic region (country/city level, not precise location)

We do NOT collect:

• Your resume content
• Personal information (name, email, phone)
• User accounts or login credentials
• Cookies for tracking purposes

Local Storage

We use your browser's IndexedDB storage to save your recent resume check history. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time using the "Clear History" button in the app. We cannot access this data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: Privacy-focused analytics that doesn't track individual users or use cookies
• Vercel: Our hosting provider, which may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, timestamps)

Data Retention

Since we don't collect your resume data, there's nothing to retain. Analytics data is stored by our analytics provider according to their retention policies.

Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal information, there's no personal data to access, modify, or delete. However, you can:

• Clear your browser's local storage to remove resume check history
• Use browser privacy/incognito mode for additional privacy
• Block analytics scripts using browser extensions

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll post any changes on this page with an updated revision date.
